Responsibilities

You will work at the intersection of customer applications, technology, and commercial success, helping shape how machine vision lighting solutions are applied in real-world environments.
You will be deeply involved in complex customer challenges, working alongside Sales and engineering teams to translate application requirements into robust, scalable solutions.
 
Main Tasks:
  • Work directly with customers to understand application challenges and define viable solution concepts
  • Provide on-site application support and technical guidance during evaluations and implementations
  • Act as a technical lead in complex customer engagements and strategic opportunities
  • Translate real-world requirements into structured technical specifications and solution architectures
  • Support Sales in pre-sales activities, technical discussions, and solution validation
  • Contribute to technical positioning in competitive situations
  • Capture and translate voice of customer into actionable insights for product and technology decisions
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, R&D, and the Application team

Your Job Profile

  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Electronics or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in machine vision, optics, illumination, or related technical fields
  • Strong background in application engineering, systems engineering, or technical customer-facing roles
  • Deep understanding of image formation, lighting, and optics
  • Experience working directly with customers in industrial environments
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics into practical, scalable solutions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in German and English
